Last night more than 500 people were in attendance for one of the biggest celebrations of local business innovation in Canada, Lion's Lair. Taking its cue from shows like Dragon's Den and Shark Tank, Lion's Lair is a local-to-Hamilton event that granted more than $160,000 in cash and prizes to a number of of startup companies and entrepreneurs.

Lion's Lair is an annual competition presented by The Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and Innovation Factory. The competition gives ten companies the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of Hamilton’s top business experts, the “Lions,” for a chance to win over $160,000 in cash and in-kind resources. This event brings together the entrepreneurship and innovation community in Hamilton, Ontario.
